What could be better than getting together with a group of like minded dog owners and their furry pals and heading out for a walk on a Saturday? This is just what will be taking place in Coniston, the Lake District this Saturday September 19th. The event is one of the Dogs Unite for Guide Dogs walks and family fun days which are happening throughout September and throughout the UK.
Guide Dogs is such a special charity and one where supporters needn’t even be dog owners or lovers, everyone knows how important and life saving guide dogs are for those who are blind or visually impaired. The Unite Dog day in Coniston is free to join in and attend and is made up of a 3km sponsored dog walk, an arena with guide dog demonstrations, a sensory tunnel, fun dog show, stalls and much more and all taking place in and within the grounds of the John Ruskin School in the centre of Coniston village.
It’s a great chance or dogs to socialise, have fun and with the whole family too whilst raising money and awareness of the Guide Dogs charity. To register for the event and for more info visit, http://www.guidedogs.org.uk/dogs-unite/find-events/dogs-unite-at-coniston.
